About Us

Sunset Memorial Park was established in 1929, by Chester T. French, the founder of FRENCH Funerals-Cremations. FRENCH Funerals-Cremations remains locally and family owned and has been caring for families of New Mexico since 1907.

As of May 1, 2019 we no longer have the ability to accept cash payments. You may pay with a debit/credit card or a check.

Hours of Operation

The park is open 365 days a year from 7AM until 6 PM.

The Chester T. French Mausoleum is open M-F from 8 AM – 5 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM – 4 PM.

The Administrative Office is open M-F from 8 AM – 5 PM and Saturday from 8 AM – 4 PM.

The Administrative Office is closed on Sunday and the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
